Worsley Community Grants Rounds

Use this form to apply for grants of up to A$10,000 (GST exclusive) for eligible projects within the Shires of Boddington, Collie, Murray, Wandering, Waroona and Williams, or in Greater Bunbury and surrounds.  

Lift Grant (Under $5,000)
For local ideas that are ready to get off the ground. These grants support practical, community focused projects that deliver immediate benefits and help groups take the next step toward positive change. Think accessible community events, materials, small equipment or uniforms.

Amplify Grant ($5,000–$10,000)
For projects with the structure, support and planning to reach more people and create deeper, longer lasting outcomes. E.g.,  Multi‑session programs, medium capital.

Completing this form

Focus Areas

1. Education and leadership 

  • Education, training, youth development and childcare.
  • Supporting lifelong learning and development, nurturing future leaders, and promoting equal access to education, with a focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.  

2. Economic participation

  • Local employment, local business development.
  • Supporting local employment, sustainable livelihoods, and diversified local economies. 

3. Good health and social wellbeing

  • Community health, sport and recreation, family, and youth support.
  • Supporting community health and social wellbeing and promoting inclusion.

4. Natural resource resilience

  • Environment, water, land management.
  • Supporting communities to thrive in their environment and use natural resources responsibly and sustainably.

Eligibility

  • Not-for-profit, sporting and recreation, and community organisations which are incorporated (or auspiced via another incorporated body) are eligible to apply.
  • Organisations can only submit one application per grant round.
  • South32 Worsley Alumina may not necessarily fund the whole (or any) of the requested grant, even if funding criteria is met.

NOTE: Your application will undergo due diligence before being considered for funding and, if  successful, applicants are required to enter into a social investment (funding) agreement with South32 Worsley Alumina before grant funding can be paid.

South32 will not fund:

  • Individuals
  • Companies or for-profit activities
  • Activities or organisations that conflict with South32’s values and purpose, Code of Business Conduct, Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy or a combination of one, more or all
  • Religious or political activities
  • Applications that don't meet Lift or Amplify grant assessment criteria
  • Projects that don't deliver measurable benefit(s) to the local communities (listed in this application)
  • Projects that have potential to harm the natural environment
  • Past events and/or incurred costs
  • Team or individual travel costs
  • Organisations or activities we previously supported that did not (in our view) deliver on the intended purpose or meet the requirements of the social investment agreement
